I’ve know Tommy for years, he is probably best known for his work as a touring DJ, including regular appearances on the Dew Tour, under the stage name DJ Mot. If you’re into skateboarding you might also know his old shop, Covert, which was an Orlando institution for many years. For the past couple of year’s  though you can find Tommy pouring his heart and soul into his latest venture, Spacebar.

Spacebar is a cozy, fun, neighborhood hangout smack in the heart of the Milk District (2428 Robinson St.) Craft beer, nightly entertainment and pinball are the key features at Spacebar, along with its iconic host. My favorite night is “Bring Your Own Vinyl” currently on Thursday nights. The name says it all and it’s a great way to find new music. They also regularly host local comedians and their most popular event is “Tasty Tuesdays” when a fleet of food trucks setup in the rear parking lots along Robinson.

Of course, you can also make a night of it all along Robinson, with Bull & Bush,  Sportstown and several other bars and shops within a darts throw of Spacebar.  Good people, good beer and good times, an Orlando must-do.
